Cast the Word

It seems reasonable to assume all of us have faced differing degrees of rejection at some point in our lives. The impact of rejection can have long lasting residual effects on our confidence level, our ability to have future relationships, and our ability to even trust people in the future. But as believers in Christ there is hope, and there is a cure to getting over rejection. Listen for more details on our last episode in our Getting Over It series.

In the world we live in today, we hear too many unfortunate stories of folks giving in to the spirit of suicide. In this episode, we discuss the spirit of suicide and how to conquer suicidal thoughts through the help of the Holy Spirit and the word of God! This life throws many obstacles our way but greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)! He will see you through no matter what you're facing. Don't lose hope. Suicidal thoughts are absolutely an attack from the enemy and God has many great and mighty things planned for your life. I believe your best days are not behind you. Recognize the battle and give it over to the Lord. I hope this episode blesses you, and I hope you find some encouragement if you struggle with this issue.

In Part VI of our 'Getting Over It' series, we are discussing the issue of lust. Lust can be such a covert struggle that many people battle with on a daily basis. Our society is saturated with sensuality that can cause us to be conditioned to the issue of lust if we're not careful to guard our eyes, hearts, and minds. This covert and progressive sin can turn into a massive problem if not addressed immediately. Once again, we will look at this issue and provide some Biblical and spiritual advice to help us get over the issue of lust.

Stress and anxiety are common struggles in our culture today especially with the pressures put on us by the world. But living in a perpetual state of anxiety is not God's desire for us in this life. We can help reign this in with His help, and the word of God gives us guidance on how to get over the constant attacks of anxiety. 

The Bible offers a lot of wisdom and instruction on how to deal with the destructive emotion of jealousy and envy with the Lord's help. Jealousy can be very dangerous if left unchecked in the heart of a believer. In fact, it could be said that jealousy is the gateway to other emotional struggles we face such as anger and anxiety or depression. In this episode, we discuss the issue of jealousy and discuss what the Bible has to say about this emotion and how to get over it. 

In just a few weeks America will be casting her vote on who will lead this nation for the next four years. We are in trying times, and we need Jehovah God to intervene in this great nation. I feel led to enter into a period of fasting and prayer leading up to the election as a sign of humility to God and seeking His intervention for this nation. I invite you to join should you feel led. 
2 Chronicles 7:14 says,
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
 Let this be our prayer, and God help us to align more closely with your Word. Then we believe you will heal our land. 
 

In part 2 of our Getting Over It series we are tackling a common issue that many of us either struggle with regularly, or have faced at certain points in our lives. Anger is such a common emotion, and how we handle it can either make us or break us. The Bible has a lot to say about this topic, so we hope that you find encouragement on how to get over anger in this episode.
